Belize Newsletter January 2013

We are almost ready to  mail out our newsletter! I thought I would give you a chance to read it  here first.

Enjoy!!!

Missionary Tim Joiner – Belize January 2013
Greetings in Jesus’ name and Happy New Year! I hope this update finds everything well with you. We are rejoicing in the great things God is doing in Belize. We are thankful for your interest in the work to which God has called us and we hope this update will enable you to share our burden for the Church in Belize!
We would like to begin by thanking ALL of our friends who have supported us in prayer and finances. YOU are the reason for revival in Belize!

This past year has been a very busy one with the blessings of the Lord on His work in Belize. We were blessed to have a mission team from Calvary Pentecostal Church of Jeanerette, Louisiana (Pastor A.L. Lyle) to visit us in the month of June. We had several great services with Bro. Anthony Polotzola preaching for us. We were honored that they chose Belize. Thanks to Bro. Polotzola for his offering which enabled the installation of a suspended ceiling in the Guinea Grass Church. What a difference it has made in the sound and looks of our beautiful sanctuary.

Pastor Jason Calhoun ministering in San Jose

Pastor Jason Calhoun of Texarkana, Texas honored us with his anointed ministry in several services in July. In spite of pouring rain at an open-air meeting in San Jose Village, people responded and were praying and seeking God. There are around 30 Saints who have outgrown their rented building. We need to purchase land and build a church building.

We also give thanks to First Pentecostal Church of Colorado Springs, Colorado (Pastor John Burgess) for allowing a mission team to come and be with us. What a hardworking bunch they were. They, along with the mission team from Jeanerette, completely rebuilt our garden in the front of the Church and sponsored a Vacation Bible School. They had an average of 148 children hearing about King Jesus. With the inspiration of the Colorado mission team, some of the members from our headquarters Church went and conducted VBS at some of our other Churches. There were around 480 children reached with Truth during this time.

NEW OUTREACH POINTS: Teams are being sent into unreached villages to teach Bible studies and pass out invitations. We are already seeing results from this endeavor. Please pray for Yo Creek, Carmelita and Trial Farm that a harvest of souls.

INTERNATIONAL YOUTH CONFERENCE: Pastors Ben Weeks, Darian Hosch, Keith Smith and Steve Ward honored us with their ministry. We had an outpouring of the Holy Ghost in every service with the ministry doing an outstanding job. Thank God for 15 souls receiving the Holy Ghost. We were also blessed to have various other guests from the United States who were a part of our conference. The sacrifice that they made in coming is greatly appreciated. Fondly called “The Missionary Girls,” Bethany and Nicole Wakefield were with us for our conference and blessed us with their singing and worship. They are very special young ladies and are dedicated to the field of their calling in Mexico.

BIBLE SCHOOL: This year also marked the beginning stages of a Bible School at the headquarters Church. Currently eight students are attending weekly training sessions under the direction of Missionary Jason Hood which are the first building blocks toward a full term Bible School and Training Center.

We have miraculously acquired around 20 acres of land close to our headquarters Church in Guinea Grass. It is our prayer to develop this into a campground one day. Once developed, we would be able to use these grounds for our Church meetings and also to rent them to other churches and businesses to help generate income to supplement the cost and upkeep of the grounds.

We are in the process of closing a land deal on two lots in Indianville, Toledo District for the construction of a Church. Pastor Chun is experiencing revival and has outgrown the place that he has been renting. Finances are needed to build a Church for this group of believers.

WE NEED YOUR HELP, PRAYER AND FINANCES:
I have tried to make it my policy not to bother or beg, even when things are low. I understand the hardships that have hit North America and most everyone is having a hard time. The average family in Belize does not own a vehicle, which requires running buses and vans to transport people to Church. Our fuel is around US$5.45 a gallon. Please prayerfully consider becoming a mission partner or continuing your support for the work of God and the Joiner family in Belize.
I have always been reluctant to mention needs, but I have been told that I need to show them. If you would like to be a part of any of these projects, please earmark your checks in the memo line with the project that you would like to sponsor.
Mark 16:15 – “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
What has been accomplished for the work of God here in Belize would not have been possible if it were not for those who have faithfully supported us in finances and prayer. Only eternity will tell the story of how many souls have been reached because you have been willing to share our burden. “GO” is still in the Gospel! While not all can go, you have made it possible for the Joiner family to work for God in Belize, Central America.
If you are not already a part of the revival in Belize and would like to be a part, please pray daily for Belize. And, if you would like to contribute, please send any offerings to our stateside address:
